This is a contract agreement between the President of the Baghdadi Jewish Community and a general contractor. It contains the conditions of the contract as well as estimates for labor and supplies for various construction projects.

These are archival documents from the Baghdadi Jewish community that consist of notices of community meeting agendas and meeting minutes, addressing a variety of issues including school staff, elected community positions, Kosher food, totals of butchered Kosher meat for the meat tax, and budget planning. There is a small booklet titled “Statues for the Jewish Orphans Charitable Organization, 1948.” There are documents listing members of the community involved in different community or religious organizations, including various school subcommittees and members of particular synagogues. There is a copy of the booklet titled: "The Jewish Community Law # 77 and the Jewish Community System #36 for the year 1931" and is printed in both Arabic and Judeo-Arabic. The laws were published in an Iraqi newspaper in 1931. This was published in Baghdad by the Jewish Charity Council and there are several copies of the laws in the collection.

These are documents from the Baghdadi Jewish Community. There is a financial contract between the Administrative Committee for the Jewish Community to a leaseholder, with a chart of leaseholders, durations and amounts of each lease; receipts from the Ezra Menahem Daniel Sports-Ground Committee; and handwritten ledgers.

This archival material includes: a letter from the lawyer of the Administrative Committee for Iraqi Jews to a judge regarding permission to rent an endowment property for 21 years; letters from women, students, and a man to the Jewish Administrative Committee and to Rabbi Sassoon Khedouri asking for charity and an increase in monthly allowance; a letter from a lawyer to Rabbi Khedouri to ask for help for a man who is losing his sight with a doctor's report to confirm it.

This is correspondence between the President of Jewish Community and the head of the Administrative Committee for Iraqi Jews regarding administrative and organizational matters in the Frank Iny and Shamash Secondary schools. Also included is community financial information; a letter from the Ministry of Finance to the President of the Jewish Community requesting income tax payments for workers; payroll ledgers of Jewish community employees and workers salaries; budget accounts for the Ḥevrah Ḳadishah (Burial Society); the financial status at the end of 1958; a receipt for the collection of state funds; and forms filing for tax extensions.

Other items include correspondence regarding travel to Iran; a chart with the names of Jewish schools and hospitals and their dates of establishment; a handwritten note requesting proof of service certification from the head of the Reemah Kadoorie Eye Hospital because of the financial hardship of the requester; and a letter from the President of the Jewish community in Baghdad congratulating a member of the Shanghai-Baghdadi diaspora community on receiving the “Order of the Brilliant Jade” award from the Chinese government.

This material from the Baghdadi Jewish Community contains documents related to property owned by the community. Included are: correspondence regarding a tenant; a letter from a tenant to the Jewish Lay Council for the Ḥevrah Ḳadishah (Burial Society) regarding a dispute over a rental property; a court case that resulted between the President of the Jewish Community and the tenant; a document of a lawsuit from the tenant; and a bill from an attorney to the tenant. Also includes: a lawsuit bill from a lawyer to the President of the Jewish Community and a receipt from the attorney; a letter from a tenant to the President of the Jewish Community requesting maintenance to the building damaged by a flood; correspondence between the head of the Administrative Committee for Iraqi Jews, a tenant, and a lawyer regarding a rented property.

These are documents from the Ḥevrah Ḳadishah, the Burial Society. They contain employment applications, employee appointments, and records of donations to/from charity organizations.

These documents primarily from the Frank Iny and Shamash Secondary Schools and consist of individual student records including photographs, exam scores, student certifications, admissions forms, and correspondence regarding student affairs. There are multiple copies of the class roster for the Shamash school, fifth form, 1966-1967.

These are archival documents from the Baghdadi Jewish Community. They consist of correspondence between government education offices, the Administrative Committee of Iraqi Jews, and the Shamash Secondary School regarding examination scores, administrative policies and procedures, the implementation of the Rules of the Administrative Committee of Iraqi Jews, published in Al-Waqā’i‘ Al-‘Irāqiyah in 1958 (including a copy of the published regulations); changes in curriculum, regulations for exam proctors; exam schedules; fees, university advertisement regulations; vocabulary lists for various subjects; teaching methodology; and students passing, failing, or needing to repeat grades. These documents reflect the Baghdadi Jewish community's name change to the Mosaic community.

These documents contain communications between the Administrative Council for Iraqi Jews and the Frank Iny and Shamash Secondary Schools. Included is correspondence about students’ acceptance to study abroad, rosters of students receiving awards, administrative memos concerning employment issues, receipts and financial information concerning school expenditures.

These are documents from the Jewish schools in Baghdad. The item contains correspondence between the Iraqi Ministry of Education and the Baghdadi Jewish community concerning student grades; budget information for the Jewish schools; teachers' salaries and other employment issues; a questionnaire about whether or not the Kurdish language should be taught in schools; curricula for Trade Law, Economics, Mathematics, and Accounting classes.

These are receipts, bills, and expense reports pertaining to schools, endowments, and hospitals operated by the Baghdadi Jewish community.

This is a booklet titled “Administrative Committee for the Iraqi Jews - Endowment.” It includes a letter from Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs to President of the Jewish Community regarding complaints of tenants of Daniel’s Souk shops and the lack of sanitation; also includes a letter of health notification with the requested materials.

These documents from the Baghdadi Jewish Community include lease and endowment paperwork from the Administrative Committee for Iraqi Jews regarding the administration of charitable funds and properties from the Ezra Menahem Daniel endowment.

These are documents in Arabic from the Jewish Religious Court in Baghdad. The item contains court decisions on marital matters; a memo regarding the rules that govern the use of revenue stamps; and an agreement between the President of the Administrative Committee for Iraqi Jews and a lawyer.

These are archival materials concerning a complaint lodged by the Frank Iny School, the Menahem Daniel School, and the Shamash Secondary School to the Iraqi government that the schools are enduring financial hardship because assets are frozen and many families can no longer pay school tuition. The documents include several charts depicting the wages earned by teachers over a span of several years.

These documents from the Baghdadi Jewish community include correspondence between community lawyers and tenants of property owned by the community. In the documents, the lawyer repeatedly requests that tenants pay overdue rent and renew rental agreements.
