These are documents from the Ḥevrah Ḳadishah, the Baghdadi Jewish community’s Burial Society. They are primarily receipts from the Ḥevrah Ḳadishah. There are also receipts from Iraqi government agencies and various local merchants for utilities, vehicle upkeep, wire transfers, taxis, textiles, building supplies, and newspaper advertisements; rosters of salaries of officials and employees from the President of the Jewish Community; and correspondence regarding water prices.

This is correspondence between the President of the Jewish Community, the Jewish Religious Court, Iraqi government departments, and public and private employers regarding salaries, legal cases, payments, receipts and invoices.
