This is a book printed in Arabic titled “The Collected Poems of Bahr Al-‘Ulūm.” It contains the works of the “Peoples’ Poet,” Mohammed Saleh [Ṣālih] Bahr al-Ulum. This is the first volume of the first edition.

Correspondences from community members to the President of the Jewish Community regarding personal issues: help to finding relatives; dispute on a dowry issue; burials; a teacher requests a financial reward for 32 years of working in Midrash Talmud Torah, requests to continue to receive a retirement allowance of deceased husband; letter to Rabbi Sassoon Khedouri from a member of the Supreme Court requesting an additional salary for some extra work he does to help him financially; letter from workers requesting salary increases to the President of the Jewish Butchery; list of thirty names of needy and retired people whose allowances were decided upon by the Jewish Lay Council and approved by General Council. Also included are issues of the Iraqi Chronicle in 1973 on the nationalization of Exxon and Mobil Oil companies.

These are assorted documents from the Baghdadi Jewish community. They include documents pertaining to elections held within the Baghdadi Jewish Community, budgetary and financial records, and minutes of meetings. Also included is an extensive report about reforms needed in Jewish hospitals, schools, and other organizations and associations. The item also contains chemistry notes from the Frank Iny School from 1959-1960.

These documents contain correspondence, mostly on a personal level, of the President of the Jewish Community in Baghdad. Included are requests for a telephone to be installed in a school, teacher labor issues, student transfers, receipts and invoices, thank you notes and condolences to members of the Jewish Diaspora in Europe, America, and the Middle East. The documents include an excerpt from the 1945 edition of the Biographical Encyclopedia of the World, featuring the president of the Jewish community of Baghdad, Sassoon Khedouri; a license to import one Chevrolet car from the U.S.; a wedding invitation; and several business cards of foreign dignitaries.

These are archival documents from the Baghdadi Jewish community. There is correspondence from the 1930s-1940s between the Jewish Lay Council, Jewish Hospitals Committee and various school administrations. Other documents include court cases, requests for financial help, and deeds and property records owned by the Baghdadi Jewish community. There are also architectural drawing plans, contracts, and correspondence discussing price negotiations. This is followed by student files from the 1960s, containing individual student records, exam scores, student certifications, admissions forms, letters of recommendation, photographs, and correspondence regarding student affairs. There is a printed booklet notating a teachers’ school service record from 1944. There are collections of receipts from the Administrative Committee for Iraqi Jews, the South British Insurance Company, the Rafidain Insurance Company, various local vendors and taxi services, pharmacies, utilities, as well as rosters of patient information and correspondence from the Ministry of Culture of Iranian Schools in Iraq.

This item includes a document about renting property to an individual, correspondence from a lawyer, a receipt for an announcement posted in the Al-Akhbar newspaper, and a copy of the Al-Akhbar newspaper.

This item included correspondence between the Iraqi government and the Baghdadi Jewish Community concerning property tax issues.

This item includes documents detailing internal administrative matters of the Baghdadi Jewish community such as employment actions, resignations, letters of recommendation, property management, and decisions of the organization. There are also requests for financial assistance and other personal matters, letters from members of the Baghdadi Jewish community to the Jewish Lay Council about increasingly harsh treatment by the government, and reports of individuals being arbitrarily arrested and imprisoned. Other documents include correspondence to the British government to organize a Passover Seder for Jewish soldiers, scholarships to study in British schools, Baghdadi Jews abrogating their citizenship and emigrating abroad, the collection of donations for Palestinian refugees and wounded soldiers, lists of members of the Baghdadi Jewish community in detention facilities, and financial documents such as income tax reports and receipts.

These are newspaper clippings from the Iraqi Newspaper from 1997. Subjects include the U.S., helicopters, airplanes, ‘Ar’ar, Saudi Arabia; France, military intervention, and government positions.

These documents from the Baghdadi Jewish Community include files from the Ḥevrah Ḳadishah, the Jewish burial society; receipts regarding the administration of an endowment; handwritten financial notes; and a letter from a lawyer regarding community financial affairs. This also includes half of a page of קמיע ירושלמית שמירה ליולדת, (Ḳameʻa Yerushalmit Shrirah le-Yuledet), an amulet guard for pregnant women. These documents reflect the Baghdadi Jewish community's name change to the Mosaic community.

These are archival documents from the Baghdadi Jewish Community. They include a newspaper with lost/missing notices, a chart of flights, a letter to the editor; and correspondence regarding a synagogue, the Jewish community within Iraq, Iraqi Jews living outside Iraq, and Zionism. There is a brief history of Jews in Iraq, which talks about the impact of changing laws on the community and the July 17, 1975 Ba’ath Party Revolution. These documents reflect the Baghdadi Jewish community's name change to the Mosaic community.

These are archival documents from the Baghdadi Jewish schools. They contain correspondence regarding payments for the SAT and Achievement Tests between the president of the Jewish community, the Educational Testing Service in Princeton, N.J., the Bank of Iraq, and the principal of the Shamash Secondary School. There are also several brochure publications regarding administration of standardized tests, advertisements for supplemental test preparation, generic correspondence from the Educational Testing Services, forms assessing English language competency, and copies of the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) exam for 1964.

These are archival documents from the Baghdadi Jewish community, primarily related to Ḥevrah Ḳadishah, the Burial Society. They contain an Iraqi newspaper (al-Tākhay) with an advertisement selling the Ḥevrah Ḳadishah's car because the government froze the society’s assets. Also included are requests about assets from the Administrative Committee for Iraqi Jews to the government and an announcement in the official Iraqi newspaper (Al-Waqā’i‘ Al-‘Irāqiyah) about the Administrative Committee’s role.

There are also correspondence and flyers in Judeo-Arabic; the Judeo-Arabic flyers are from the Tomkhe Torah Society.
